Confer with AI

A guided AI adoption program for small businesses and non-profits.
We're piloting it now.

The problem we are working on

Most small businesses and non-profits are experimenting with AI. Very few have it integrated into how they actually work. The gap isn't as often awareness or access, it's implementation. Courses teach tools but leave each business to figure out what fits on their own. Consulting provides that translation but at time/price points most small organizations won't commit to before they know whether AI fits at all. We're hoping to provide the middle ground.

How the program works

The program runs around 90 days. It starts with the client's business, not a tool list. A structured questionnaire captures how the business actually operates. A facilitator reviews it with the client. Human reviewers check for red flags before and after the AI generates recommendations. Then the client gets an interactive guide loaded with their context, a human facilitator at key decision points, and a small peer cohort working through similar questions. Check-ins continue at months 4, 5, and 6.

What's behind the recommendations

The assessment isn't a generic AI prompt. It runs through a structured framework — over a thousand decision points covering readiness, data risk, task fit, workforce impact, and implementation sequencing. The framework carries the analytical load so facilitators can focus on business judgment and relationships.

Who is it for

Where we are now

We're in pilot. We're testing this with a small number of partners: SBDCs, chambers, consultants, workforce development organizations and directly with small businesses and non-profits. We want to see if the approach works as well in practice as we believe it can. If you work with small businesses and/or nonprofits and this sounds worth exploring we'd welcome the conversation.
